Graduation work devoted to the regional development of life insurance. The sector of the insurance market has been one of the leaders in terms of growth among financial markets over the past few years. Life insurance products have enjoyed great success among consumers. However, in the last year, the life insurance market slowed down and fell below inflation, which led to an actual fall. This work explores the main drivers that have influenced the rapid growth of the market, as well as the reasons for the loss of total demand in last years. As an object of observation, life insurance premiums were selected. Based on the analysis of the insurance market, as well as foreign literature on this topic, a research methodology was selected taking into account Russian realities and characteristics. Factors which effect on insurance premiums were considered from different perspectives in various regions of the Russian Federation. The main research regions are the city of Moscow and the Moscow region due to the dominance of most indicators. In comparison with region, the divided subjects of the Russian Federation were considered in the context of federal districts. As part of the study, two types of models were built on the basis of various data: the financial results of insurance organizations and the social and economic indicators of individual regions. Model 1 interpreted the effects of financial performance of insurance organizations on life insurance premiums. Model 2 examined the social and economic indicators of individual regions in the context of the impact on the collection of insurance premiums. The results of the Moscow region made it possible to obtain estimates for all federal districts and compile a list of potential markets that have potential for growth.
