Linguistic Tools of Persuasion in the Internet Discourse

This study is concerned with the use of speech influence in political Internet discourse, its tools and features. The main goal of this work was to study speech influence in the context of political Internet discourse. To achieve the goal of the study, the concept of speech impact, political and Internet discourse, as well as their features and differences have been studied, their relationship were identified, the analysis of political articles, comments and statements in personal blogs on the Internet has been conducted and the most common ways of the use of speech influence for a given communication channel were identified. As a result of the study, the tools and features of the speech influence in the political Internet discourse were studied. It was found that the use of speech influence in the political Internet discourse has distinctive features due to the variety of genres of Internet discourse, their speech standards and extra-linguistic context.
