Public Prosecution by a State Prosecutor in a Criminal Case Trial by Court and Jury

This research is devoted to the analysis of the powers of the state prosecutor supporting the public prosecution in a criminal case trial by court and jury. This research consists of three chapters. The first chapter identifies a common definition of public prosecution and historical development of supporting of public prosecution. The second and the third chapters analyze the powers of the state prosecutor at various stages of legal proceedings in a trial by court and jury. Based on the results of this research and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the author made a proposal to improve the provisions of the current legislation which regulate the activities of a state prosecutor in a trial bу court and jury.
