The work is a case study of the manifestation of a policy of memory in Russia, supported by critical discourse analysis of the official ideological discourse concerning the directions of this policy, as well as counter-discourses in Russia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania. It first establishes a theoretical framework for the study: the main concepts and types of memory are highlighted, and the concepts of ideology and memory policy are analyzed. Then the main ideas constituting the official Russian ideological discourse are singled out. The conclusions are given in the form of an analysis of Russia's memory policy and a critical discourse of analysis of official and counter-discourses aimed at revealing the identified ideological narratives. The presented conclusions make it possible to understand the character of the Russian identity discourse both at home and abroad.
