Abstract 2 Within the framework of the research, we conducted a qualitative analysis to establish the political and ideological factors that led to the special relationship between the USSR and the USA during the Cold War. An example of our study is three cases of communication between two powers in the context of the conditionally joint development of new drugs. These states are accepted for consideration, as they are the main world leaders in breakthroughs of technological progress of that time. The expected factors are the promotion of two ideologies as an impact on the foreign policy of countries, which also affects the results of innovative drug inventions. In the first chapter, we will examine the literature on the clash of ideological concepts. In the second chapter, we describe not only the trends inherent in the capitalist and socialist system of state organization, but also the influence of ideology on domestic politics. It considers not only communication attempts between two competing countries in the context of pharmaceutical policy, but also an analysis of domestic political organs, systems and structures through the STS approach. At the end of the study, a qualitative analysis of interviews, media, archival data and interpretation of the results is given.
