The purpose of the research is to compare the disclosure in the law of Russia and England, it is conceptual understanding, search for solutions to the problems of implementing the procedure of disclosure in Russia, and proposals for the implementation of certain provisions of the disclosure of evidence in England. Research problems: 1. Analyze and compare approaches of Russian and foreign doctrine in the understanding of the disclosure; 2. Suggest solutions of problems in the statutory regulations of disclosure in Russian legislation; 3. Identify the provisions of English legislation that are suitable for implementation in Russian legislation. Scientific novelty is determined by the purpose and objectives of the work, and is determined by the fact that it is a comparison of disclosure in the law of Russia and England, as well as an analysis of the possibilities for implementing certain provisions taking into account the latest legislative changes, in particular the entry into force of Federal law No. 451-FZ of 28.11.2018 «On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation». The theoretical basis was, in particular, the works on the theory of law and the theory of adjective law by S. S. Alekseev, E. V. Vaskovsky, A. H. Golmsten, K. I. Malyshev, T. G. Morshakova, I. A. Pokrovsky, M. K. Treushnikov, N. A. Chechina, M. S. Shakaryan, I. E. Engelman, T. M. Yablochkov, V. F. Yakovlev. Works in which foreign experience was studied, as well as works on comparative law by such scientists as: E. V. Kudryavtseva, L. A. Prokudina, V. K. Puchinsky, I. V. Reshetnikova, M. A. Filatov, M. A. Fokina. In addition, the theoretical basis of the research was the works of T. K. Andreeva, T. V. aparova, Yu.V. Arkhipova, p. Archer, S. F. Afanasiev, V. T. Barbakadze, R. S. Bevzenko, N. S.
