This paper evaluates the main signals of Russian graduates in the labour market as determinants of their salaries. Based on the data of the panel longitudinal survey “Trajectories in education and careers”, three regression models are constructed. Regression model estimates the whole sample and certain categories of universities depending on selectivity degree as well. The presence of positive economic returns from higher education in a highly selective university has been revealed. In addition, experience in senior courses increases wages by 24%. The findings could be applicable to develop the educational system in Russia.
