Optimization of Foreign Trade Cargo Delivery in Supply Chains

Modern economic globalization, the development of competition, the prevalence of the consumer market contribute to find new technological solutions for doing business. In the framework of trade a large number of goods are imported and exported and transportation costs are among the largest in the logistics costs and have a direct impact on the final cost of goods. Thus, the optimization of cargo delivery in foreign trade relations is an urgent aspect, since the results of its implementation have an impact on all participants in the supply chain and affect their subsequent functioning. The purpose of the master's thesis is to optimize supply chains by developing theoretical and methodological recommendations for improving the transportation of foreign trade goods. The structure of the master's thesis is an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion and a list of references. The first chapter discusses the overall development and role of transportation in the supply chains. The second chapter deals with the issues of the indicators system and methods for assessing the impact of the transport process efficiency on the results of enterprises. Within the framework of this chapter existing methods and models are considered and their development is proposed. The third chapter is devoted to the formation of an algorithm and reference base for assessing the impact of transportation process indicators on the supply chains effectiveness and testing the results. The scientific novelty and originality of the master's thesis consists of the development of models and methods for evaluating the transport performance on the supply chains effectiveness, taking into account the assessment of transportation time, total logistics costs, and reliability of supply chains subject to internationality and multimodality of cargo transportation.
