Subjective Economic Welfare of Migrants in Russia

This paper assesses whether migrants from the former USSR living in Russia refer to reference groups in the home country or residing country when evaluating subjective welfare. Empirical evidence suggests both groups matter, in addition, results vary depending on the time since migration.
