As part of this work, methods for the selection of teachers in public schools of the Russian Federation are investigated. As you know, each organization, as part of the personnel selection process, selects the appropriate method for evaluating candidates for its specificity. One of the tasks of the personnel selection process is to identify a set of methods that will allow the candidate to be evaluated as quickly and as qualitatively as possible from all sides. The methods used may vary in the public sector. Using the example of one of Moscow schools, the following results were revealed: the main methods for selecting teachers in a public school are interviewing and conducting a test lesson. As part of this study, we saw how the selection process could be improved so that it would be easier to evaluate a candidate from several angles. In order to evaluate the candidate as a whole, the head of the organization should be present at the interview, as a person who knows more than others about the specifics of the organization and which candidate will be the most suitable for this position. In order to evaluate a candidate from a professional point of view, an interview should be attended by a methodologist who may be a representative of a methodological association or an experienced teacher in this field. In order to evaluate the candidate from a psychological point of view, an interview should be attended by a pedagogue psychologist who, using his methods, will be able to identify the necessary information. A trial lesson allows you to see how the candidate will act in his direct activity. At such a lesson, “ideally”, the same composition of “experts” should be present as at the interview in order to better assess the candidate’s abilities. In addition, when selecting candidates, methods can be used: testing, cases, analytical and situational tasks. However, these methods are less common.
