Analysis of Investment Climate in Russian Regions After the 2008 Financial Crisis

For modern Russia, the problem of attracting investment and creating a favorable climate for creating and running a business is urgent. The impact of the global economic crisis in 2008 had a strong impact on the growth of the domestic economy. The crisis forced to change the strategy for developing the investment attractiveness of the country and regions. This Final qualification paper raises the question of Russia's position in international ratings of the investment and business climate in order to develop recommendations for improving the main directions of state investment policy that affect the formation of the investment climate and business conditions in the regions and the country as a whole. Also, the methodology for assessing investment attractiveness in the regions, the methodology for calculating the indicators of the Doing Business ratings and the National rating by ASI. In addition, using regression analysis, the relationship between the volume of private investment in fixed assets and the ratings under consideration is estimated.
