Educational Programme: Public Administration (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

The public sector is very important for the functioning of the Russian economy. The effectiveness of any sector of the economy is largely dependent on workers. There is a problem that most graduates want to work in the private sector, because the benefits seem obvious. This paper discusses factors that affect the choice of place of work by graduates. Identifying motivational factors will help attract more talented people to the public sector so that government organizations can be more effective. For analysis, a longitudinal study is used. Over the course of 7 years, the educational and career strategies of the focus group have been fixed. The data will help determine which factors are most likely to influence a student's employment in the public sector. The results of this study will be useful for recruiters, as well as for graduates.
