Russian culture (and philosophy as a inseparable part of it) is based on Christian experience. The heart of this experience is the figure of embodied God or God-man. This experience was conceptualized in eastern Christianity within conception of "theosis" (deification) and acquire existential meaning. In this thesis we will try to clarify a specific synthesis between religion and philosophy through the revealing the idea of God-manhood in philosophical systems of two Russian thinkers - N.A. Berdyaev and S.L. Frank. A significant part of dissertation is dedicated to comparisons and sometimes clashes between these Russian philosophers and eminent european philosophers (such as F. Nietzsche, M. Scheler, M. Heidegger). Against this background the idea of God-manhood is manifested as a real prospect in philosophical anthropology in the context of contemporary philosophical situation, the meaning of which some researches see in "God's returning".
