The Evil of Death Problem in Contemporary Analytic Philosophy

In that work considered the evil of death problem as it presented in contemporary analytic philosophy. The author aims to demonstrate successfulness of deprivation approach used by many analytical philosophers when they deal with question of the evil of death for dying person. The work contains a posing of the problem of the evil of death, an analysis of the Epicurean arguments against the harm of death, a description of the theory of deprivation and investigation of its applicability to solve the issue of the value status of death for dying person, an argument of symmetry, and a discussion of the desirability of immortality.
