Within the paper the theoretical base of existing scientific researches was developed; in general, the methodology of transportation efficiency increase was studied. The concept of Uber for Freight is considered, its features and advantages over the traditional model of cargo transportation organization, also the prospects of implementing this concept in the supply functionality of the oil and gas complex were thoroughly studied. The problem of transportation optimization in supply chains is quite complex and implies solving the issues of transportation, distribution of goods, attraction of additional resources and use of the initial ones. The search for an optimal solution should take the form of a multi-criteria approach and comparison of alternatives. An extremely important factor in optimization of transportation at the enterprise is the construction of an individualized system taking into account unique criteria relevant to the focus organization. Communication factors, along with technical and strategic factors, must also be taken into account. The performance criteria of the entire logistics system, including external factors (e.g. economic or political) must also be improved. The study also examined the methodology of choice of logistics intermediaries, different modes of transportation and types of vehicles - this theoretical section is crucial in view of the basic conditions of transportation and the overall impact of basic resources on the efficiency of transportation. As a practical part of the study an analysis of the risks of the organization of the digital site of the cargo aggregator was conducted, given practical recommendations on the implementation of the project at the enterprise. The payback and profitability of the project for the company-organizer have been calculated.
