With this paper, we try to delve into the power of AI as an important tool in the arsenal of an intelligence agency, remaining at the cutting edge of technology to gain an upper hand in world affairs. This paper shall try to form a basis of understanding how AI tools help states to keep track of world events and especially their adversaries, and from the obtained information these develop/alter their security and deterrence policies and strategies, and also end up influencing their weaker allies’ as well. It shall also try to provide a direction that security might take as we confront an ever-increasing generation of data. In a world lagging in policy formulation as opposed to the speed of technological change, which has been known to be exploited by intelligence agencies, this forms an important area of focus that needs analysis to form an understanding for those who would want to form a synergy between security needs and the lives of people.
