Music is a part of culture, with strong emotional impact on individual and collective behavior, particularly when it becomes a symbol of social events and serve as mobilization for social attitudes and activities. Rap music, since its inception was associated with protest and alternative culture, but it is not clear in which cases and contexts it served - or symbolized – protest mobilization.
