Management of Personnel Development in the Company: Problems and Ways to Solve Them

This paper considers the issue of personnel development management. In recent decades, more and more attention has been focused on identifying the optimal conditions necessary to improve the effective management of personnel development. Based on this, the work used a comprehensive approach that covers both the identification of understanding of the essence of staff development, structure, constituent elements, and factors that affect the effectiveness of staff development. The purpose of this work is to identify problems related to the development of personnel in modern organizations, as well as to suggest ways to solve the found difficulties. The empirical part of the work is based on an ideographic method using a qualitative approach. The study sample consisted of eight current managers of large, medium and small businesses. Work experience as a Manager for at least 3 years. The interviewees are both men and women, with an average age of 37 years. The tool for qualitative analysis was a semi-structured interview, which was developed to determine the concepts of personnel development, the use of methods and tools in the work, as well as the detection of existing problems and factors affecting the management of the personnel development system. The results of the study revealed long-standing problems, as well as newly formed difficulties that have become possible in modern times.
