Development of a PMO in the Project-oriented Companies

The business environment is characterized by high competition and instability, because of crises and pandemics occur (COVID-19), therefore, enterprises create a supporting functional unit - the project management office to coordinate and centralize the activities. The main goal of this final qualification work is to determine the features of the PMO developing in project-oriented companies. The questionnaire was developed for this, that helped to study 44 project-oriented companies. Based on the obtained data, a correlation and regression analysis was performed, which made it possible to check the relationship between the project management maturity and the PMO functionality. So after that there were given recommendation for the companies that have decided to implement PMO, which will allow the formation of such a specialized multifunctional unit that will meet all the requirements of the project-oriented company, and will also contribute to the maximum achievement of the organization’s strategy.
