Global Warming Discourse in the Media of Russia, France, USA and Great Britain: a Comparative Analysis

This work is devoted to the study of the discourse of global warming in the media of Russia, France, the United States and the United Kingdom. The purpose of the research is to identify common and different elements of the global warming discourse in the media of Russia and foreign countries. In the theoretical part of the work ways of studying information discourses were studied, especially the theory of agenda setting and the theory of discourse analysis. In the empirical part of the study, Russian and foreign discourse of global warming was studied using content analysis, frame analysis and discourse analysis. Similarities and differences in the construction of global warming discourse in Russian and foreign media are revealed.
