Compensation for Moral Damage: Trends in Russian Judicial Practice

The work is devoted to the study of the institution of compensation for moral damage as a way of protecting civil rights, as well as identifying current trends in judicial practice in the main areas of its recovery. The work consists of introduction, two chapters containing six paragraphs, conclusion and bibliography. The introduction explains the relevance of the chosen topic, defines the purpose and objectives of the study, formulates its object, subject, theoretical and practical significance. The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of the concept of “moral damage”, the grounds and conditions for its compensation, the criteria for determining a specific amount of money. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of a number of court decisions in three main areas of recovery of compensation for moral damage and the identification of current trends in judicial practice. The conclusion shows the main conclusions aimed at the need to improve Russian legislation in this area and further study the institution of compensation for moral harm.
