Language Situation in the Udmurt Republic and Trends in Language Policy on Macro and Micro Levels

The following thesis examines the linguistic situation and language policy in the Udmurt Republic at the macro and micro levels. Consistent study and description of the various components of language policy in the Udmurt Republic allows you to create the most complete description of the current language situation in the region, as well as highlight the main trends in the development of language policy at different levels of its functioning. The main data sources for our work were legal acts, Internet resources (sites of institutions and organizations, social networks), and sociolinguistic data obtained during the field study. The main data collection methods for our study were anonymous questionnaires for respondents living in the Udmurt Republic, as well as semi-structured interviews with representatives of different age and ethnic groups.
