Assessment of the Impact of Business Scale on Its Performance Criteria

Nowadays, the impact of the company's size on its performance is not much disclosed by the scientific community. Since there is a huge variety of different indicators that describe the organization's activities, it is important to understand which of these indicators can be used for large businesses or SMEs. The research aim is to reveal the relationship between the company's scale and its performance. The analysis is performed by constructing an econometric model that includes a group of financial and non-financial indicators. This model analyzes the influence of a group of selected indicators on the return on equity, which was selected as an indicator of the company's performance. The econometric model is tested on two samples representing data from large companies and SMEs. As a result, the main contribution of this research is the fact that this article allows to define groups of indicators that are effective for a specific business size.
