Order Effect in Business Processes

This study reports about composition of several areas of scientific knowledge - psychology, machine learning and business process management. It is devoted to the issue of using machine learning tools to eliminate cognitive biases. The purpose of this research is to develop a machine learning model for identifying and eliminating the order effect in text classification problem. The data used for model building consisted of texts of citizens` appeals to government and results of their manual classification into defined categories. Dataset contain 145060 objects. The following results were achieved: - the hypothesis of the presence of order effect in the decision-making process is confirmed; - the hypothesis of increase the probability of the presence of order effect in limited time confirmed; - the debiasing model has been developed.
