Assessment of the Probability of Bankruptcy as a Basis for Managing Financial Stability of Airlines

The bachelors thesis on the topic “Diagnostics of the probability of bankruptcy as the basis for managing the financial stability of airlines”. It was performed at the Department of Financial Management, the educational program "Economics" of HSE. The volume of research is 86 pages, which contain 9 figures and 11 tables. Also, the work includes 5 appendices. The presented bachelor’s thesis is based on 54 sources, which are placed at the end of file. The research is devoted to the relevant issue of predicting the likelihood of airlines’ bankruptcy which is of interest to both management and shareholders, creditors, suppliers and the state as well. The comparative studies of foreign researchers may either not take into account industry specifics, or may disregard features of the economic environment. The general purpose of this paper is to timely measure the risk of airlines’ bankruptcy, which would facilitate the process of developing a strategy in making prompt decisions to evaluate and strengthen the financial stability of the company. The methods of cognition, retrospective, documentary and econometric analysis, as well as synthesis, generalization, and systematization were used in the bachelor’s thesis.
