Using Big Data and Business Intelligence for Digital Transformation of SME's: the Case of Nigeria

Digital Transformation radically alters markets through the application of new digital technologies, and it challenges established business models. In the age of big data and business intelligence, SMEs are fast adopting these technologies to enable ease in data analysis and to derive insightful decisions all to secure a profitable business stake. Globally, SMEs are widely recognized and held high as a major component of economic sustenance. Focusing on the Nigerian SMEs adopting these same disruptive technologies to compete in the global market, it faces certain challenges. If a proper framework is established to curb these challenges, and a solution exists, business models will be positively affected, insights to painstaking challenges will be provided, all with the proper use of big data and business intelligence for business transformation.
