A study of the marital interaction features of women in intercultural marriages living in one of the European countries on the territory of the husband, in connection with the "Self-differentiation". The study was conducted in two stages. The study involved the following methods: “Multi-Item Measure of Adult Romantic Attachment – MIMARA”, adapted by T.L. Kryukova, O.A. Ekimchik; “Attachment to Close People Inventory” (N.V. Sabelnikova, D.V. Kashirsky); Differentiation of Self Inventory (DSI), Elizabeth A. Skowron & Myrna L. Friedlander (translated by E.Y. Chebotareva); Interpersonal Dependency Inventory R. M. Hirschfeld, adapted be O.P. Makushina; Relationship Profile Test, Bornstein R.F., adapted be O.P. Makushina; semi-structured interview; сontent analysis by “ground theory” method (Strauss A., Corbin J. version). In general, the results of the study show that for women in interethnic marriages living in a foreign cultural environment, attachment to their husbands is more secure and positive. The level of “Self- differentiation” is lower than the same of women in monocultural marriages, and pratically isn’t connected with the attachments’ characteristics. The “Self-differentiations’» features of that women were revealed: high ”sold-self” level and distancing tendency. It is demonstrated that secure attachment stile is based to the trust in husband and the desire to save the marriage. The results of this study allow the specialists to take into account the specific social situation of interethnic couples more accurately in the course of psychological, social and other assistance to such couples, to develop constructive ways of discussing and maintaining cultural differences in the couple.
