The present study is aimed to explore the practical issue that was stated by the study office of Psychology Department, HSE: younger students demonstrate a tendency to involve a third party in resolving conflict situations without urgent need. This research is focused on identification of factors that may correlate with students’ conflict behavior in an academic context. One of the important tasks of the work is to identify groups of students on the basis of increased and reduced level of conflict. It is expected that these profiles will vary in conflict management strategies and personal dispositions. To achieve objectives of the work, an empirical research design was developed based on the following models: Thomas-Kilman Conflict Management Strategies, Big Five, Dark Triad. Another empirical tool is a questionnaire formed as part of the work for determining preferred methods for resolving conflicts in academic context. Research sample: bachelor students of the Department of Psychology, HSE, 2-4 courses. Sample size: 177 people. Keywords: conflict management styles, big five, dark triad
