The religious factor in the politics and the influence of religion on political processes is a widely discussed theme in the academic debate. This paper highlights a concept of "the repoliticization of religion", which means giving religion the political meaning, enhanced through its presence in public life. The issue of political significance of the religion is well covered from the theoretical point of view. The problem is - the lack of empirical research. The question is not whether religion and politics mix, but how it happens. Political actors, particularly political parties, in their statements and political programs openly appeal to the religion issues. The repoliticization of Christianity will be considered in the case of Germany. Qualitative content analysis is used to answer the research question.
