Impact of Oil Resources and Education on Political Regime: Cross-Country Regression Analysis

This research examines impact of oil resources and education on political regime. Education is considered to be one of the most important factors of democratization, while oil resources lead to more authoritarian regimes. This research reveals role of oil resources in relationship between education and political regime. We used multiple regression model with interaction term. It was found that growth of oil resources rents may corrupt positive impact of education on political regime.
