The research work is related to the consideration of methods for improving social assistance to elderly single people, using IoT technologies. The paper considered the main risk factors that a person faces during the decline in social status. Understanding this made it possible to identify a number of features that were not previously taken into account when detecting deviant behavior in the smart home environment. In the course of a qualitative analysis of the problems faced by modern medical and social services, it was possible to formulate the requirements for IoT systems for effective integration of these technologies into the research area. The overriding principle of early revealing of infringements in behaviour, is a method of modeling behavior based on intelligent comparison of the current action or no action of man in the environment "smart home" with established patterns of behavior identified during mining of the use of the system. This makes it possible to respond to the current situation in a timely manner and sometimes completely avoid the development of certain diseases, what will allow people to continue to lead a normal life.
