Application of Data Analysis Tools in Retail

The goal of the master's thesis is concretized to developing a methodology and software for searching for similar customers and new products for the catalog using the social network Vkontakte and methods of machine learning and advanced Analytics. Fast fashion retail was chosen for implementation. Tasks of the thesis: 1. Overview of the history of machine learning. 2. Overview of current views on the interaction of retail and artificial intelligence. 3. Development and description of the solution methodology. 4. Analyze target group users and search for clients. 5. Analysis customers friends. 6. Analysis of the customer subscriptions and their friends. 7. Selecting potential groups to expand the catalog. Thesis structure The thesis contains the following parts: 1. The table of contents. 2. Introduction. The introduction describes the relevance and novelty of the topic, and specifies the main requirements. 3. Chapter 1. The first Chapter contains a theoretical part devoted to the history of data analysis and a modern view of the interaction of artificial intelligence and retail. 4. Chapter 2. Practical part. It contains a description of the solution methodology, the "as will" process model, a description of data entities and structures, a theoretical base, and the results of algorithms 5. Conclusion. Conclusions on the results of the work are given, as well as the expected directions for expanding the functionality. 6. The list of sources. The list of references in accordance with (GOST) 7.1-2003 (2003). 7. Applications. Program code, database data description tables, and analysis fields. During the work, we were able to confirm that stores can find products that are relevant to the target audience. A methodological and software package was implemented to solve the problem. Improvements were suggested.
