The Analysis of Approaches to the Problem of Information Security in the Processing of Personal Data

This Master’s thesis discusses the importance of the security of personal data that is processed by personal information management systems. Data protection laws of Russian Federation, the US, and the European Union are analysed. The best approach to personal data security for a small business company in Russia is defined. An optimal personal data protection agent is chosen according to the criteria defined in the current research. Weakness analysis is undertaken in order to determine how to prevent the security of information from being breached; also, the analysis of the applicability of innovation technology in personal data security is carried out.
