The modern world is unthinkable without information technology. IT solutions have long been a tool for ensuring the competitiveness of the enterprise and gaining market advantage. There are many systems that automate the processes of companies designed to solve a number of business problems. One of the areas that is supported through the use of information systems is the process of making managerial decisions. For this, products of various classes are used depending on the methods for solving the tasks. This list also includes simulation systems. They allow you to reproduce the processes, the behavior of objects using a graphical and mathematical description of the elements. The main advantages of using such tools are the ability to simulate complex systems, conduct experiments with various conditions before taking action in reality and making a direct decision. Modern simulation tools are multifunctional, have extensive libraries of objects that are suitable for simulating the processes of any enterprises and systems within many areas. The aim of this work is to develop recommendations for decision making using simulation tools. The object of the study is the decision-making problem in the IT company. The subject of the study is the construction of a simulation model for decision-making in an IT company. To achieve this goal, the following tasks are solved: 1. Analysis of modern approaches for informatization of decision-making: • consideration of the specifics of the decision-making process and methods for its implementation; • study of the concept of simulation modeling; • analysis of simulation tools. 2. The study of the activities and issues of management decisions in the IT company: • determination of the main characteristics of the company; • analysis of the processes of the Research&Development Department; • study of the problem in the decision-making process at the enterprise. 3. Modeling a problem situation in order to identify the best strategy: • determination of the most suitable simulation tool; • building a simulation model of processes; • conducting experiments as part of alternative strategies; • analysis of simulation results. The methods for solving the tasks set in the work are the analysis of scientific works of domestic and foreign authors, the study of world practices, modeling and conducting experiments. The study uses information from scientific literature, articles, electronic resources, teaching aids and own developments. The first section of the final qualification work examines the theoretical aspects of the decision-making process and simulation as one of the solution methods. In addition, the market of information systems for simulation modeling is studied, their functionality, a comparative analysis of existing tools is provided. The second section of the work gives a general description of the activities of the IT company and conducts a process analysis of the design activities of one of its departments. It also identifies the main problem in making decisions related to the work of this department, and considers possible alternatives. The third section formulates the requirements for a simulation tool that will be used to solve the problem. The model constructed using the selected system is described. Next, a series of experiments is carried out with various conditions within the framework of the identified alternatives. Based on the simulation results, recommendations are given for choosing one of the strategies.
