Planning a Portfolio of Decision Support Systems when choosing a BI-system

This paper investigates the urgent problem of choosing a Business Intelligence system for commercial organizations. An approach to the selection of a BI system contains methods based on the principles of majority, optimism and pessimism, Pareto, Laplace, Hurwitz, Savage and Markov processes, as well as the classical decision support methods AHP and ANP. The paper describes the concept of BI-systems and the market analysis in this area is also carried out. The research was conducted in the area of classical decision-making methods, as well as methods specific to this task. The practical implementation of the approach is carried out by the example of choosing a BI system in an oil trading company using all the methods considered in the theoretical part of the paper. The practical significance lies in the fact that the developed approach for choosing a Business Intelligence system using various methods and decision support systems can be used in a business of any size and in any industry.
