Linguistic Factors of National Economies Development

The purpose of the final qualification work is to assess the impact of language factors on the economic growth. The relevance of the problem is due to the novelty of the research area, the growing pace of globalization of modern society, which affects the spread of the most profitable languages and the extinction of local ones. In this regard, there is a need to find out the most cost-effective version of the linguistic situation in the country. In the first Chapter, the main directions of research in the field of language Economics are considered, evaluated and classified. These include traditional research areas that have focused on language and economic status, dynamic language development, language policy and planning. In the second Chapter, an econometric study of the analysis of the influence of linguistic factors on the GDP of countries is conducted. It was concluded that the country's GDP is influenced by factors such as linguistic diversity, the spread of the language in the world, the presence of a world language among the country's official languages, and the indicator of ethnic and linguistic fractionalization.
