The Influence of ESG factors on companies' IPO success

This paper aims to study the effect of ESG disclosure factor on stock performance of newly listed companies. The main hypothesis of this research is the following: companies that share information on their ESG activities prior to IPO outperform companies that do not disclose their non-financial practice. The sample for regression analysis consists of 665 IPOs from NASDAQ Stock Exchange. Study reveals that there is a statistically significant positive impact of ESG factor on stock returns on 180th and 250th trading days since the listing.
