Psychological well-being and its predictors are explored in modern science. Many studies have detected that intergenerational transmission of values and their similarity influence on the psychological well-being of adolescents. This research focuses on validating the influence of an intergenerational transmission of values on subjective well-being of adolescents. The sample included 200 subjects (100 parent-child dyads from Tajik families). The following methods were used: The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, the PVQ-R Scale by S. Schwartz, and the Satisfaction With Life Scale by Diener. The data was processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS. The outcomes of the analysis showed that the transmission of the values predicts both life satisfaction and self-esteem of adolescents. Moreover, it helps to reduce intergroup threat among youth of Tajikistan.
