Recovery Motivation and Self-Actualization Among People Suffering from Alcohol Addiction Within the Context of Their Families’ Structure

This work is a study on the relationship between indicators of motivation for recovery and self-actualization in people suffering from alcohol dependence, and the structural characteristics of their families. The sample consisted of: a pilot study - 31 men, all patients of the state clinical narcological hospital, the main study included 52 people - men and women - participants in the Alcoholics Anonymous program. The study used methods of correlation analysis. The result of the study was the confirmation of the hypothesis that the indicators of self-actualization are associated with the structural characteristics of the family.
