Russia ranks 81st in the global ranking of gender equality. At the same time, Russian government do nothing to solve this problem, and the gender agenda is practically absent in public political discourse. Despite the fact that the mass media are called upon to highlight important social problems and support public debate, Russian federal channels mostly broadcast a conservative, patriarchal gender agenda. The so-called "female experience" has certain contextual differences depending on the community. The more valuable is the attempt to explore the gender agenda in Russia and the context in which it exists. The study attempted to examine the content and quality of coverage of the gender agenda broadcast in Russia using the example of the most popular public and political talk show on television "60 Minutes". The analysis showed that in one of the most popular TV political programs, the gender agenda plays an extremely minor role. Moreover, women are often actually excluded from public discourse, thus giving the impression that it is normal and natural. The still dominant "male narrative" in the mass media contributes, on the one hand, to the rooting and dissemination of the view that gender equality is impossible in Russia and, on the other hand, to the view that there is no problem of gender inequality in Russia, which, in fact, is a contradictory point of view.
