These research aims to study political communications in music undustry in USA and Russia. It desribes history of protest music in both countries. Analyzing history, nowadays situation and perspectives of music industry. Also it answers some questions like How artist's political involvement can influence on personal brand? Can music be used as instrument of promotion of political views? There were used such methids as expert interviews, case study and online poll
