The Context of the Soviet in the Works of Valery Todorovsky

The aim of this work is to create a description of the construction of cultural myth of the Soviet in the post-Soviet space, based on the analysis of interviews and cinematographic works of Valery Todorovsky. Those two analyzed elements are considered as complementary parts of the subjective narrative about soviet. One of the main roles in its formation is played by generational affiliation of the first post-Soviet generations of the directors, existing between Soviet State and modern Russia. Narrative, created by Todorovsky, appear to be a discussion, dialog with his own experience of the Soviet ad already existing cultural myth about it
