Final Grade: 9

Year of Graduation: 2020

With the spread of mobile communications caused by the direct effect of digital transformation, new social networks such as Tik-Tok are appearing. The focus of this study is the use of the Tik-Tok social network as a factor affecting the socialization of high school students, using the example of Moscow schoolchildren. Despite the availability of studies on the impact of social networks on the socialization of adolescents, the arguments from previous studies do not work, since the Tik-Tok social network differs qualitatively from its predecessors in the following parameters: simple entry, viral content, ease of creating personalized content, the presence of your own influencers and throwing. The question of how the consumption of the Tik-Tok application affects the socialization of adolescents and whether it affects at all is quite relevant. In addition, the new social network Tik-Tok in Russia has not been investigated in any way. The research uses the following methods: in-depth interviews with high school students in Moscow schools and an online survey.
