Introduction of the Applied Bachelor\'s Degree into the Secondary Vocational Education System in Perm Krai

Modern education system in Russia is the most important recourse for the development of the country. Due to the rapid development of the economy and the improvement of production it is necessary to look for different ways to improve the education system. World practice of implementing applied bachelor’s degree into the secondary vocational education system and its positive results is a definite incentive to change the education system in Russia. However, nowadays, system of secondary vocational education, having all the necessary resources, do not train qualified personnel with a good level of academic training. The secondary vocational education system in Perm region is focused on training specialists who are in demand in the region’s economy and are able to put the acquired knowledge into practice. An active regional policy is a good basis for the implementing applied bachelor’s degree into the secondary vocational education system of Perm region. To solve the existing problem in this Master's dissertation, we analyzed the system of secondary vocational education prevailing in the Perm region, its capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. We have considered the possibility of implementing applied bachelor’s degree into the secondary vocational education system with an assessment of the expected positive effects of its introduction. The result is the concept of implementing applied bachelor’s degree in the secondary vocational education system in the Perm region, including the legal introduction framework, strategy and expected results.
