Quite recently, considerable attention has been paid to the social studies on the cultural trauma. Multimedia journalism is known as a new genre which gathered peoples’ attention. This genre combines the two formats – journalism and documentaries. «Beslan. Remember» - is a new multimedia journalism film, which has collected 19 million views. The paper opens up a new field in the cultural studies of the trauma phenomenon. The main purpose of the paper is to identify how multimedia journalism shapes the image of the tragedy in different audience groups depending on the on the frequency of contact with the film and the relevance to the group. Using the methods of system film analysis by Corte and in-depth interview it is expected to point out specific features of the trauma perception.
