The Role of Influencers in the Political Discussion: the Case of Moscow’s Protests in the Summer of 2019

The present study aims to describe the role of non-political online-influencers in the political discussion among the political crisis on the example of protests in Moscow in the summer of 2019. There are a few studies about political effects of influencers with a majority of researches focusing on the role of bloggers and influencers in commercial communication. By using the method of in-depth interview with representatives of loyal audience of bloggers who were talking about protests in Moscow in the summer of 2019 and what is calling followers to take part in it, we expect to determine how this audience attitudes and how social capital of bloggers transforms to political capital.
