This work is devoted to the problem of social expectations of women of the "sandwich generation" (these are women whose children have not yet become adults and fully independent, while parents already require attention and care. As a result, they are sandwiched between them, since each generation requires attention and care) between the ages of 45 and 55, in the perspective of pension reform. The work consists of two chapters. The first chapter reveals the basic concepts and considers approaches to the study of “sandwich generation”, social expectations, in the system of everyday practices and pension reform. The second chapter, based on an analysis of empirical research, discusses the specifics of “sandwich generation” in everyday life and in the framework of pension reform. Based on the research and analysis of the main approaches to the study of the "sandwich generation”, the main aspects of the pension reform and its impact on the social expectations of women of the"sandwich generation" were determined. The main conclusions of the work: differences in real family relationships, different variations of passing childhood do not affect women getting into the “sandwich of generation” category. The responsibility for raising children belongs entirely to women. In carrying out household chores, women take the most responsibility on themselves. Women combine several responsibilities at the same time: work, housekeeping and raising children. In the process of caring for older relatives, women note a lack of time due to the overload of other obligations. Pension reform causes negative emotions in women, makes them think about the balance of life and work, and change their plans for the future. Social expectations have changed due to pension reform.
