The Coercion as a Legal Category

This paper analyzes the category of “coercion” in Russian criminal law. Aspects related to understanding the category of coercion as part of the objective side of the crime and as a way of committing a crime are considered. Proposals were made for amending the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, namely, for introducing into it legal concepts of the terms “coercion” and “violence”.
