Production processes improvement based on Lean – management tools

This paper presents an analysis of cable production at «Kamsky Cable». As part of the analysis, work was carried out to identify business processes involved in the production process. Using the philosophy of Lean manufacturing, work was done to create an optimization program. This program is based on creating a Value Stream Flow Map. With its help, as well as with the help of other auxiliary tools, such as the Yamazumi diagram, “5 why,” and others, problem areas were identified in the production process. Using the tools of Lean manufacturing, recommendations were generated and an optimization program was compiled, which allows achieving the desired success.
