This work examined the possibility of studying Aramaic translations of the Biblical Covenant Code (Exodus 22: 23-23: 19). These sources have not yet been studied in detail in either Western or Russian historiography. Based on the commentary on the Aramaic translations of the Hebrew Bible prepared as part of the work, it was possible to find, firstly, a tendency to antiantromorphism in targums, secondly, reflection in targums of some real social practices (for example, the practice of slavery), and thirdly, traces of a common the entire corps of rabbinical writings of the literary tradition.
